Uruguayan side Peñarol produced a stunning performance to secure a 1-0 victory over Brazilian giants Flamengo in the first leg of their Copa Libertadores quarter-final at the iconic Maracanã Stadium on Wednesday.

Peñarol's solitary goal came in the 54th minute when Agustin Canobbio controlled a long pass from goalkeeper Kevin Dawson, drove into the Flamengo penalty area, and fired a low shot past goalkeeper Hugo Souza.
