Child Dies After Being Hit by Truck in Northern Manitoba

A child has died after being hit by a truck in Northern Manitoba.

The incident happened on Highway 6 near Pukatawagan on Tuesday afternoon. RCMP say the child was walking on the highway when they were hit by a semi-trailer truck.

The child was taken to hospital in critical condition, but later died from their injuries.

The RCMP are investigating the incident.

No charges have been laid at this time.
