Kevin Costner paid tribute to his friend and former co-star, Whitney Houston, at her funeral in Newark, New Jersey, on Saturday. The two starred together in the 1992 film "The Bodyguard," which became a huge blockbuster and solidified Houston's status as a global superstar.
In his eulogy, Costner spoke about Houston's incredible talent and her kind heart. He also recalled some of their fond memories from working on "The Bodyguard." "Whitney was a true original," Costner said. "She had a voice that could move you to tears, and a spirit that could light up a room. I will never forget her."
Houston died on February 11, 2012, at the age of 48. Her death was ruled an accidental drowning, with heart disease and cocaine use contributing factors.
